Captain David Hammond
At the age of 67, Hammond is a man living with his head in the past. Being one the core survivors when the first cataclysm struck, he is a man that is often connected to the planet that he came from, Earth. Gentle and understanding, slow yet intelligent, Hammond is a man ruling the Solfyre through respect rather than hard tactics. His crew mates trust and love him. He has a deep care for his crew mates and is willing to do whatever is needed to protect them at all costs.
Lieutenant Jasmine Vella
Hard worker and loyal to Hammond. Jasmine Vella is an ambitious young officer who quickly worked her way through the ranks of the Solfyre in her desire to show her worth after her parents perished during the final cataclysm. Tall, trim, green eyes and long black hair, she gives the presence of someone who is soft and gentle but can be incredibly cold and difficult to handle. Believes Hammond is a good Captain but also believes he fails to see the whole picture at times. Incredibly close with technician Jacen Reed.
Shield Operator Kyle Morton
Kyle Morton is a young man looking to make the best of what he has. An opportunist, Kyle takes pride of taking advantage of the situation and taking credit for things that he hasn’t done. Fairly incompetent as a labor worker, his time is spent in the bar drinking much alcohol and ranting about the days when he will be Captain of the Solfyre and how it would be a grand ship that could rule the universe like humans did before the cataclysm.
Technician Chief Luke Gambit
Extremely intelligent in his field of how the Solfyre operates, along with his work in science and astrophysics, Luke Gambit is a modest middle aged man who owes has much respect for the Captain and believes in doing the best job he can in honor of Solfyre. Extremely loyal to the ship he is assigned to, he is willing to do whatever he can to help if needed.
Head Tech Samuel Jones
Samuel Jones is an ostentatious man who has been mostly ostracized by the fellow crew members of the Solfyre. Extraordinarily bossy and slightly power hungry, he believes he is the only one who can do a proper job as technician. However, he would rather instruct operations than take part himself. Extremely prejudice and a coward at heart. Has many problems with Jacen Reed, who often defies him. Short, chubby, and spends much time in Mess Hall eating, Jones is a man who much rather spend his time alone than with others.
Technician Jacen Reed
Reed is a man in his late twenties who has a father/son relationship with the Captain. Losing his parents during the second cataclysm, Hammond took him under his wing and gave him a home on the Solfyre. As the years passed, Reed confided in Hammond and developed a level of trust Reed feels only with Jasmine Vella. Smart, open minded, but naive, he believes in what Hammond does, but often has problems with listening to authority. As far as a skill set, he’s by far has the most talent of any technician on the squad, rivaling Gambit himself. Well built, with hair that hangs in his eyes, Reed is a man that is about getting the facts straight and knowing the truth than picking sides.
Solfyre Computer Operations Manager Sarah Liandri
Sarah Liandri is a twenty-four year old woman with exceptional abilities with computers. Her brain operates at a much higher level than anyone else on the Solfyre. Spends much time in the main CPU console room with wires running into her brain as she “speaks” to the Solfyre, and logs into virtual worlds and traverses the computer systems inside to make sure everything is in-check. She is also quietly a psychic, but is reluctant to tell anyone because of her reputation on the ship. Brought onto the ship after the final and worst of the cataclysms by Hammond, Sarah is a petite, soft spoken woman who finds Hammond to be an old fool at times and believes the Solfyre to be a ship destined to lead the fleet.
Communications Officer Annaka Morrison
A bit of a jokester, Annaka is a long-time friend of Hammond. In her mid-forties, she is cool and laid back, she enjoys keeping the peace among crew members and lets very little get to her. There isn’t much she hasn’t either seen or dealt with. While she is primarily a communications officer, she is more a utility officer on the Solfyre, and does whatever is needed of her, regardless of who is asking. Knowing more than one hundred forms of communications, along with her extensive network of friends and acquaintances on the Solfyre, Annaka is by far one of the most liked officers on the ship.
